So excit
ed to finally share this with you! Chere Provence is the Main Project Kit, and there are two Provence themed supplements plus a Provence themed paper supplement. The supplements are LÓccitane (the woman from Occitania); and if you've ever been in the store LÓccitane en Provence, you'll know why I had to pick that name; Arles Papier Supplement which is the paper supplement, Passeport Provence (a fun little mini project) and then of course the surprise autumn adornment jewelry kit. Today, I have photos of the main kit, the paper supplement, and the projects from LÓccitane and Passeport for you to peek at. If you scroll a few posts back -- the art box and Provence Inspiration Box were made in part with papers from the paper supplement. I'll have photos of each supplement posted sometime on Saturday and we'll put the kit up for sale on Saturday as well. I won't be able to commit to a time just yet but will let you know as soon as I can (it probably won't be before Saturday - I'll try to update the blog before kits go on sale).
Here are some detail photos of the main kit:
The main kit photos above show five of the Admit One vintage tickets, I ran short of these so sadly there will be only two of those mini tickets per kit. Lots of goodies from Tim Holtz, you'll get 12 of the large grungy tickets. The engraved metal discs and the engraved safety pins are so old world. You'll love them. Each kit will have a variety (different words on each disc and pin that we'll choose). You'll get one in each color, silver, copper and brass tones. Also be sure to check out the wee paper clips and fasteners from Seven Gypsies!
Love the grungy tickets from Tim Holtz and resin cameo, the pearl stick pins and the ribbon rose in lavender. And look at those wee chipboard file folders from Seven Gypsies!
The Arles Papier Supplement was inspired by this Vincent Van Gogh painting titled Cafe Terrace at Night was painted in Arles, Provence, in 1888. I love the vivid midnight blues, golds, greens and terracottas. The colors for the Arles Papier Supplement were pulled directly from this magnificent painting.
Van Gogh expressed his enthusiasm for the painting in a letter to his sister following its completion:
After finishing Cafe Terrace at Night, Van Gogh wrote a letter to his sister[2] expressing his excitement for his newly finished work:
Here are the two mini projects. The last photo is an altered bottle I created with a piece of lace that will be in the LÓccitane supplement. I simply wrapped Chinoiserie fabric around the bottle and anchored the lace on top, added a bit of ribbon embellishment and you have a lovely bottle to fill with eau de toilette or linen spray. The photos for the contents in each of these supplements should be posted by Saturday.
