A friend of mine who puts up rather good naturedly with some gentle needling he gets from me regarding a celebrity crush of his, recently ousted me in a bet, the result of which is that I must now post a celebrity crush of my own on my serious (as in, "the polar opposite of frivolous celebrity crushes"), art blog. The argument that I am too old to have a celebrity crush held no water for my unyielding friend, so blog this I must, to hold up my end of the bargain.
While I object to the word "crush", I realized with some embarrassment that I can't choose just one (apparently I don't have a "type" that I prefer). I have to admit that there are certain individuals of the male persuasion, who I find to be very easy on the eyes. But I couldn't decide on a favorite: will it be the Angles, the Saxon, or the Dane?
The Angles: (Colin Morgan and Bradley James from Merlin, but with a definite preference for Bradley, and may I add, this is the only time you will hear me use the phrase "hot damn!" on this blog):
The Saxon: Model Atesh Salih, Turkish father, German mother:
or the Dane? Actor Viggo Mortensen, Danish father, American mother:
Oh - there's a dark horse in the mix too! Lest I overlook representation from my own race... this is Bollywood's Kunal Kapoor.
After much careful consideration, I've decided it's a four way tie. Hot damn. And let the record show that this is the last time you will see frivolous, silly, school-girl crush material on this serious, worldly, devoted-to-the-intellect, art blog. Back to your regular programming.
