I admit it. I have the best of intentions, I really really do. But I never get around to blogging. And that has to change. I think the reason why is that I feel I have to have this huge block of time to sit down and blog - and I have realized, I don't. It's okay if I write three pages, or three words. It doesn't matter. As long as I am writing. I've been away from writing for so long (other than the monthly kit debuts) that it feels foreign to me now, but I am determined to change it! Okay, so I am going to jump right back in here. Nothing like jumping in headfirst without testing the waters.
I want to tell you all that we went to the National Stationery Show in NYC last week - and it was fabulous. If you thought CHA was incredible and inspiring - the stationery show is all that and then some. It's been a long time goal of mine to start integrating stationery product with scrapbook supplies. I especially love letterpress and the sheer amount of talent and creativity from letterpress companies at the stationery show was mind boggling. It's so inspiring, so many lovely things to see and touch and we only had two days to take it all in. We definitely ordered lots of new goodies for kits, from hand-dyed silk and velvet millinery quality ribbon to gorgeous letterpress cards to some even more amazing find which shall remain a surprise for now!!
We also were able to catch some sneak peeks of upcoming CHA summer products from a few generous scrapbooking companies who were at the Stationery Show. I can tell you that you definitely have a fantastic summer in store!
What else, what else... ummmmm we have a special custom stamp that is being designed for us by Sassafras Lass for the JULY kit. Well mostly designed by them. I got to design one element of the stamp! Pretty excited about that too - good stuff!
If you haven't checked out the message boards in awhile - do so -- we have a new system for supplements we are going to test out this month - we're going to allow a limited number of subscribers to do supplement reserves. The info is all on the boards.
One other piece of ologie news... We were featured in the June issue of Memory Makers Magazine in an article on kit clubs by Hillary Heidelberg and she did a fabulous layout with our February kit. Be sure to grab a copy if you can!
Hope you all have a safe and happy weekend (it's a long weekend for us here stateside, woo hoo!)
