We found these bad-a** papers at Whimsy Press - one among many favorite vendors from the National Stationery Show back in May -- and we just received our order from them. Though these are touted at the stationery show as gift wrap, they are patterned paper quality - they use high end quality papers for printing and the paper is double-sided to boot, AND we had them custom cut to size for you, so we are going to be tackling a knock your socks off project with these -- probably in September ... we hope to combine them with some upcoming goodies from CHA. I just love this hip, chic and metropolitan color palette - chocolate, cream, celadon green, robin's egg blue and gold. And check out the amazing patterns - did you see the paper lanterns! It's unexpected - unlike anything you've seen before and you won't believe how beautiful these papers are until you see them in person. Thanks to the gang at Whimsy Press for embracing our idea to marry stationery products and scrapbooking - they worked with us to get us this custom order - and we appreciate it!
I took a break from shipping and the big birthday bash over the weekend for some creative time. Which I sorely needed. I found this funky font at DaFont awhile back and had been wanting to use it on a layout. When I got the journaling down, I decided that patterned paper would be overkill - so I broke out the watercolor paints and did this:
I have really been digging paint lately. I know others have been painting all along but it's like I just discovered it or something, lol! Due largely I think, to the addition of Celine to the design team. Anyway, I liked how this turned out. I totally need a class on perspective, lol - I know the flower is the same size as the vase - but I can always say it's abstract art if anyone asks me. ;) Nonetheless, I just loved getting messy with the paints - it added a whole new dimension that I hadn't explored that in-depth before.
Oh - also we have a few partial summer picnic kits left - info about that is posted on the message board and I'll update with the contents listing and prices later this evening. So if you missed out and were interested - check the MB - there may be some available.
