We had a perfect sun-filled weekend. It was so nice yesterday that I managed to tear my little one away from her little girlfriends in the neighborhood for some wonderful one-on-one time. We packed a picnic lunch and headed to a nearby park to spend the morning. She was so excited to get on the monkey bars. She made it across three rungs and then dropped to the ground. She then told me - Mommy, I am going to keep doing this until I get all the way across. I replied, "Well honey - keep practicing, we may not be able to get all the way across today - but if you keep practicing you will, eventually." Undaunted, she kept trying and twenty minutes later -- she made it all the way across. I delightedly gave her plenty of hugs and smooches. On the way home in the car, she said "Mommy - next time you should believe in me." Touche. Wise words from the mouths of a babe.
Completed a few more cards over the weekend. This one is a combination of Making Memories & Melissa Frances paper, Bazzill cardstock. The accents are Marcella by K (Target). The ribbon is from May Arts.
Then I had to do a couple of baby cards. I love Melissa Frances stickers - they're so vintage and shabby and soft. The first one uses new Attic Treasures paper, Fesh Twist paper, Making Memories Spring Fling paper, Melissa Frances stickers and rubons, Bazzill Cardstock. The button is from Autumn Leaves. The paperbag card is courtesy of World Win Papers. Danielle also created some GORGEOUS cards with this paperbag card --- check out her creations here.
Finally, for this baby card, I used another World Win card base (kraft tag card), an Autumn leaves button, coral colored twine and mint seam binding, mint lace from Prima, the ribbon pull on the side of the card is from trim by Autumn Leaves, Melissa Frances rubons, Melissa Frances patterned paper, Melissa Frances sticker, glitter brads from Doodlebug and the little charm is from K & Co. The leafy stick pin is from Maya Road (Thanks Caroline!)
That's it for today. A busy week lies ahead. My mom and Dad are coming in for a nice two week stay to visit with us, my sister and her little boy arrive Wednesday. I have Thursday and Friday off since Alekha is on spring break this week. Looking forward to some time with family and my little one!
It's kinda scary, and sad how fast they grow up, isn't it? And, how Smart they are!
Love your pretty cards!

First of all, I love all your work, it is beautiful! Second, I just had to comment on your post from a few days ago - I really feel like I could have written that post! My daughter is 5, almost 6, and she also crys a lot and about the most minor of things, like having static-y hair. It really is hard to know how best to deal with that. Will be interested to hear how the chart works out! My daughter is also so sensitive that it is hard trying to convince her to not take comments from other kids as seriously as she does. Anyway, it sounds like we are on a similar journey with our beautiful daughters! I wish you the best of luck!
