Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I had travel and other plans that never came to fruition as I woke up Thanksgiving Day with a corneal ulcer. I felt terrible pulling my ophthalmologist away from his family but was in pretty intense pain and it turned out to be good that he saw me as it could have turned serious (blindness in my right eye). He got me on some medication and on the road to recovery and I had to get a pair of glasses today so I could see again. So speaking of counting blessings, I am so very thankful for my ophthalmologist -- and for all the other people who labor in the healthcare field to take care of us and help us out even on holidays, so we can have the blessing of good health. Saying a prayer and a blessing for them today.
Hi Ranjini. I've been happily following your blog for some time now. Reading about your experience on Thanksgiving stopped me cold. I can honestly say I know exactly what you are going through. It's been more than twenty years, but the memory still can make me shiver. I had contracted an infection to both eyes that was resistant to antibiotics and both corneas were severely ulcerated. It went on for the better part of a year. The specialist at the eye institute was even talking about cornea transplants! Miraculously, it finally abated and I recovered my vision. I'm grateful every day for my sight! I'm so glad you are recovering. I've enjoyed following your blog, and I love all the wonderful and unique images you share. Thank you so much. Hugs, Terri

Goodness, what a scare! I am praying there will not be any side affects. I can't imaging anything worse than loosing my vision. Hope all is well now.
Thank you for the lovely cards,
Sharon
