Back and so glad to be home. I came across this image and it struck me that though it is probably nearly a century old, how appropriate it is for our times. I know there are so many people who are learning to do more with less and to make their dollars stretch. I love this little card because it's a gentle reminder that it is, after all, the thought that really counts, isn't it?
Here are a few more images - some sweet feathered friends. Alekha is going caroling with her girl scout troop Wednesday evening - at a nursing home. The troop will deliver ornaments and music dressed in their holiday finery, and share cookies and punch with the residents afterwards. The gift of music - it's yet another gift that we often get for free and can freely give as well. If we open our eyes, we can see evidence of the abundance around us, even in the most meager of times.
Boy, I can relate to the first card! Thank you so very very much for all of your lovely images.
I wish you a very very Merry Christmas to each and every one in your family but most of all for you,
Sharon
