Thank you for your comments, it was nice to know I was missed! I am popping in quickly to share some layouts from the lovely August kit over at JBS. The kits are all sold out now, but I do believe they have a handful of the add-ons (Artisan and Antiquarian) still remaining and even a few of the project kits. I received the Artisan add on that contained the chipboard pennants I used in this first layout below, and loved that add on! The caramel colored lace trim from the kit and the bank ledger paper was also hoard-worthy! Jenni is selling the bank ledger paper in sheets of three in the mercantile store here. Everyone on the team went gaga over the exclusive stamp in the kit (see the last layout on this post). Hopefully you got one, because that was an amazing stamp!
Also, if you haven't noticed, I updated the copyright language on my blog. I have re-thought my stance on the whole copyright issue (only as it relates to my work on this blog). I've been scrapbooking for many years now, and I have been on both sides of the scraplifting debate at one time or another. I came to the conclusion some time ago, but am even more a believer now, that it is the journey and not the destination that counts. And I believe that there are enough ideas in the world for all of us to participate in this craft we love without feeling threatened that someone stole or appropriated "my" style or ideas.
I said this in my copyright paragraph at left and will say it again here, I am a firm believer that generosity of spirit is greater than any personal pride or glory I could achieve from claiming to be the first or the best to do anything. Humble spirit, happy heart, and my soul is freed from being able to send this out into the universe. That's all I have to say today!
wow!
that is my response to your copyright text.
you are being very generous. I can understand the conundrum you must come under with your work. One thing that has always bothered me is the thought that: nothing is original. So I was often intrigued by others who were so critical if any part of their work might be found somewhere. I am not widely published, and I see things I have done on other peoples projects, and I would just always get tickled.
Your words were so refreshing today. I have to say, one could NEVER duplicate your amazing style, but I am always inspired by your work.
Thank you,
~j

Ranjini! You have such a way with words! I love your copyright text ...
You inspire me in so many ways and your style is so amazingly unique. I just wish I could make it "work" the way you do!
I've thought about this a lot - ever since I first saw a scrapbooker use a glass bauble on a page and then everyone started using it! You just can't patent certain things - LOL! And if you did, we'd all just be staring at a blank piece of cardstock I think!
and your layouts above ... stunning, stunning, stunning.

You have been an inspiration to me for years! Every since I found scrapologie sometime in 2005 or 2006. I often look at your projects and try to interpret in my way. Thank you for that.
Glad to see you back on the blog! Again... you're an inspiration! Hope to see more of the stuff you've been up to.
Good luck to your parents. I recently went thru the low blood count with my Mom who is a very vivacious woman and it was tough. It does make you stop and think about all that's important.
Cheers!

SO good to see you posting again, especially with the full life you have! You are always so very generous with your creativity, your artwork, your vintage images. I only wish I could emulate your work in some small way... truly inspiring and beautiful!!!
