Can you believe it's already February 1st? Here's an embarrassing confession.... we've been so busy this month I haven't had time yet to take my Christmas tree down, which is unusual for me because I typically can't stand to have it up past Christmas, it's usually all packed away by January 1st! But I've been so busy this month and tired that I haven't found the energy to do it yet. It *will* get done this weekend though!
A new month means new kits (yay!) at JBS Mercantile, and it's a good one! I'm not nearly done crafting with this kit, and you'll want to be sure to snag this month's adorable project kit designed by Doris, too!
Here are my contributions to the gallery:
I've been trying to talk Alekha into going camping with her girl scout troop this weekend, but they have limited capacity for parents and they have their parent to girl ratio filled, and she doesn't want to go without me or Bobby there. I've tried to tell her how much fun she'll have, that she'll earn a badge, her friends from the troop will be there, but she isn't having any of it. She is a very careful and cautious little girl (her horoscope sign is Cancer the Crab, and I've read that those born under this sign are very sensitive and can retreat into their "shell" when threatened). This was apparent when we went to Disney and her thrill seeking Daddy tried to talk her into every remotely exciting ride from Soarin' to Space Mountain, but she was obstinate in her refusals to accompany him. In the end, we did several of the milder rides, several times over, and I had to remind him not to push her. I have accepted the fact that I don't have a little adventurous Pippy Longstocking of a girl and that she'll venture out into the big world when she's ready.
Have a wonderful day!
