Today I am sharing a spring-themed project made for the Pink Paislee blog. I made this Paper Kite Treat bag using the new Prairie Hill Collection from Pink Paislee, which is replete with lots of kite imagery. The kites were very easy to do and were inspired from images that I found on Pinterest. I paired them with a large chocolate bar in a glassine bag. I thought this would be a perfect project to celebrate an achievement. Alekha recently won her school's reading race by logging over 1,000 minutes reading and I made this as a little gift to celebrate her small success. You can read about how I made these on the Pink Paislee blog here, and there's a full list of supplies on the Pink Paislee blog as well.

It's been nice to take a little breather from the flurry of creating activity for CHA last month!
Remember how I posted that Alekha did not want to go camping with the girl scouts? She surprised me at the last minute and decided to go after all! The change of heart came from the scout meeting just before the camping trip - she caught on to all the excitement and it convinced her to go. She was so glad she did, too - she had a great time! I was proud of her for stepping out of her comfort zone. Motherhood is just full of surprises. It is such a joy to watch her grow up and celebrate these small but meaningful milestones with her.
Have a wonderful week!
