Un Bonjour - A Hello...

 

We were greeted with grey clouds and bits of icy hail pelting us throughout the day today. I'm dying for warm weather. So much so, that I had to talk my little miss into a summer-inspired photo session. We swept her hair back into a bandana and she looked like she was  ready for an afternoon of berry picking with a basket on a sunny hill:

Blueberries

 
 Here's a quick share of a layout I did of Alekha for JBS September. I love the blueberries against the pistachio green polka dotty background of Jenni's new Family Tree Collection. And the rubons on the photo are from 7 Gypsies' new steampunk rubbings - they add such a fabulous touch to the photo. I will look back on this photo in the coming winter months and remember the warmth of summer and her sunkissed face. Strawberries, Sugar & Cream

Curly locks, Curly locks
Wilt thou be mine?
Thou shalt not wash dishes
Nor yet feed the swine,
But sit on a cushion
And sew a fine seam,
And feed upon strawberries
Sugar and cream.

We eat a lot of strawberries around here, especially in the summertime. I meant to post these images with the strawberry cards I created awhile back (you can see them in my etsy store in the sidebar on the right). I can't get enough of strawberry graphics and images - hope you enjoy these!
