Here's my promised image for the week... the first one is the original "Bonne Fete" postcard. Click on each  image to save and print full size. I removed the text on the second one with the clone tool in PS. I added a Valentine message on the third one in case you want to use it as a Valentine card. Enjoy!

A Summer's Eve Concert

This summer, I want to take Alekha to a Picnic with the Pops concert here in Columbus. Actually, I will probably take her to one of the Popcorn Pops performances which is geared more towards children. These are musical evenings with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, that take place on the lawn of a local business and you can bring your own food and spread a blanket out under the stars while you enjoy the music. My kind of summer entertainment!  Hope you get a chance to enjoy outdoor music, food and a summery evening before the summer is over. What could be more magical?

Petite Marquise

Here is the little marquise that was evidently the intended recipient of those tulips that our little fellow picked yesterday. Love the little beribboned pup!

Tulips, Travel & Thievery

Glad you loved the cheery images from the last post. I thought I'd stick with the bright images for a post or two, to bring you a little taste of spring. I found the sweetest little marquis enjoying spring tulips and it reminded me of how much I adore the sight of tulips in the spring.

This little one looks like she is all set to embark on a wonderful adventure. And is taking along a picnic basket of goodies and a pup to share it with!

 

Rule #1 of childhood mischief: always have an accomplice when attempting petty thievery, lol!

A Bit of Sunshine

Love both of these cheery images; they seem to emit a ray of sunshine and remind me at once of Mary Engelbreit's style and her drawings of charming cottages with slanted roofs in candy colors. I am mourning the loss of Home Companion magazine. Sigh. 

This one is a bit funny, is that her brother or boyfriend hidden in the bushes, and what is that in his hand? I can't tell if it's a golf club and he's retrieving a ball, or some sort of a stick with which he is planning to do some harm to the little girl's suitor and rolling up his sleeve for the purpose, yeeps!
