She is going to want to draw a picture with it.
And when she finishes one picture, she is going to want to draw more.
Pretty soon you'll have to buy her a whole box...
and then you'll start dreading the fact that she may have discovered a new art form she loves...
This is a running joke with my dear husband. He really is a good sport. He puts up with art projects piled on the kitchen table, kits cluttered around the house willy-nilly and a wife whose love of bringing home new acquisitions from flea markets (he learned early on not to call the acquisitions "junk"), is only exceeded by her excitement and joy at acquiring new art supplies. He's a good sport most of the time, so much that I had to laugh when I christened this blog "Runs With Glitter" and he drily remarked that "Runs With Clutter" was more appropriate. So kisses to him for putting up with my mad tinkering and artsying all these years and still praising each work of art as though it belonged in the Smithsonian. He's a good man, that hubby of mine.
So I just had to share about the Copic markers - I must be the last person to have discovered them but I do love them. They're a bit spendy, so the acquiring part is going a bit slowly, but that's perfectly fine.
And as for the flea marketing and junking -- look at this box of Polish glass ornaments I scored at Goodwill - $12.00 for the whole box! I doubt they are vintage but they certainly are lovely! They're packed away in the basement now patiently waiting for next Christmas.
I am still knee deep in CHA projects - deadlines looming ahead. To boot, Alekha has a fever so we've had our hands full. Hoping I can keep my head above water and stay healthy until next week is over... Here's a lovely postcard I hope you'll enjoy!
